Dows Lake, Ottawa

This urban water feature might become a bit of a local patch. Song Sparrows and a Muskrat yesterdays highlight. The rat crossed the ice being dive bombed by five American Crows but it eventually settled on the bank near me and found a tasty apple core to gnaw.

The water is still frozen solid which is hard to balance with the current sunny weather. It should be interesting to see what wildfowl take advantage in weeks to come.
