“Awesome” summer relived

Caspian Tern Tommy Thompson Park, Toronto, July 2011 (JS)

I don’t profess to be a photographer, but would love to have the time, money and patience to get to grips with it one day. Time being its about getting digiscoped record shots to capture that memory.

Some friends have recently posted some shots taken this summer from Canada when I was with them.

Feast your eyes on Christian Artuso’s stunning blog

That male Lapland Bunting Longspur is a corker!

One of my other favourites is a shot by Jennifer of a Caspian Tern that flew past us while birding at Tommy Thompson Park on a memorable weekend in Toronto. It more than shows the gap between what you can do with a DSLR compared to a digiscoping effort.
