A busy day for migrants

With a strong south east wind blowing through sunny skies the west and north of Lewis were busy with migrants. Wheatears, including many strongly marked  presumed Greenland birds, carpeted the crofts . Other highlights included:
Bragar: Turtle Dove, Corncrake and Linnet plus 3 Lesser Redpolls
Labost singing male Lapland Bunting
Loch Ordais: Arctic Tern and Gadwall
Brue: Grasshopper Warbler and Corncrake
Barvas: Sand Martin, 4 Sedge Warblers, 2 Corncrake, 90 Dunlin

Melbost Borve: 1s Bonapartes Gull still
Ness: Wood Sandpiper, Whitethroat, Snow Bunting and at least 3 Corncrake
