Andy Robinson has forwarded a couple of photos he managed at the weekend on North Uist. A very nice Lapland Bunting shot, one of around 300 taking advantage of the active cropping and stubbles at Balranald and the other being the moulting adult American Golden Plover at Clachan Sands. Both very nice birds.
Since another “AGP”, also a moulting adult has turned up at West Gerinish on South Uist. Once a national rarity this species racks up several sightings a year on the Hebrides these days. Perhaps we are just getting our eye in!
